i just joined a few days ago and the topic is true.
john (not his real name) is my wife's nephew and got killed in a road accident 2 1/2 years ago.. i've therefore come to the conclusion that most folks wanting me to be their friend are simply a computer algorithm, that my feeling bad by not answering their plea would hurt their feelings and risk our friendship, is not founded on reality.. on another topic, one question that i have is: if i search for a person on facebook does that person somehow learn that i did a search for him?.
my son, who is a facebook expert, of sorts, says no.. what say you?.
i had been concerned about people knowing i had done a facebook search for them..people i knew many years before: but if they do find out--they can approach me if they want to.
one embarrassing thing happened a few months back:
a birthday notification appeared on my fbook--a cousin i hadnt seen since his childood--we occasionally chatted on fbook. I wished him a happy birthday. His older brother ( my age ) replied that he had died the previous year. I never knew.
so the cult is getting into film production.
i saw evans piece on the jws opening a studio in australia.
one thing i see is if they use the people who are drawn to acting one they will create internal stars.

in the 60 and 70’s, that was pretty much tolerated until the great purge in 1979 and 1980. as a matter of fact, it wasn’t unusual for witnesses to get together and discuss personal questions and viewpoints they might have.
it wasn’t unusual to send letters to the society asking what was considered the right or wrong view.

Me. Apparently it was announced in jan 81 that i couldnt be d/f for wrong doing as i hadnt been a dub for years--but i was now an apostate and should be shunned by the congregation. I had no idea what it meant at the time.
do any jehovah`s witnesses or ex jehovah`s witnesses even know what that sin is ?.
why is such a statement in the bible if its not identified what that sin is ?.
were the authors of the book just playing with peoples heads ?

So has mexico got the highest number of dubs in all countries ?
lloyd evans has just tweeted a video he will be releasing soon on the "change" to the meaning of the sheep and goats and when that is to occur.. i've missed any discussion on that on here or anywhere?

as a jw did you have a pioneer sister/elder's wife who was the biggest busybody, self righteous, arrogant pus in the circuit?
who would look down on others and treat people like crap.. without giving to much away, i experienced one that knew everyone in circuit.
and if she or her husband saw or heard something they didn't like it was " you know what the bible says" regardless if it was in there or not.

we were told that we needed to accept whatever we were directed to by the governing body and elders.
eventually we rebelled and left the organization.
do you think former jehovah’s witnesses seem to question authority more than others?
i accept what people tell me--unless i know they are lying. I suppose its because i tell the truth--or not answer at all rather than lie.
unfortunately i have been caught out--rather badly: I met--and married a woman some 12 years ago; it all seemed too good to be true--which is exactly how it turned out. She had told me so many lies--it got to the point i just didnt know what was true and what wasnt. Some silly unimportant things---or other really serious issues.
i divorced her.
